The story of SAVOR’s inception begins in 1985 in San Francisco, one of the most exciting dining destinations in the world and home to the SMG-managed Moscone Center. The mayor at that time told us that the Moscone Center should be part of San Francisco’s foodie culture and serve food that’s as good as the city’s extraordinary restaurants, so we took our food and beverage service in-house and began delivering dining experiences that no other conference venue management company could match.
Today, our SAVOR brand provides in-house catering services at 140 conference facilities around the country. At each location, our cuisine highlights local culinary traditions with regional themes, sourcing foods locally and supporting local businesses, from specialty purveyors to local craft breweries.
As part of the Convention Center’s LEED certification and on-going commitment to the environment, we were able to find new homes for a total of 208 trees in surrounding locations within Broward County
The Convention Center expansion project will add an additional 525,000+ square feet of meeting space and an upscale 800-room headquarters hotel.
