Water supply to the city has been shut off for repair

The City of Fort Lauderdale has declared a state of emergency due to a water main break near the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.  The water supply to the city has been shut off for repair, affecting the Broward County Convention Center.  It is estimated to take 24-hours to restore the water main line.

The Broward County Convention Center will close temporarily due health concerns impacting sanitation, fire prevention, chillers for air-conditioning and drinking water.  Events in the building will be rescheduled until the water has been restored by the City of Fort Lauderdale.  Attendees are encouraged to contact their Event Planners for updates and rescheduled events.  For updated information please check sunny.org/advisory.
