In accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and our organization’s Mission Statement, the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward Convention Center is committed to making our facility and services accessible to all of our clients, guests and visitors. The Convention Center offers accessible parking as well as ramp access, ADA-compliant restroom facilities, Braille elevator buttons, phone and fire alarms for the deaf and hard of hearing and more.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available at the Central Security Office at no charge on a first come-first served basis. A valid driver’s license is required to obtain the use of a wheelchair. In accordance with the ADA, registered service animals are permitted in the Convention Center. The Americans with Disabilities Act defines service animals as those that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. Other animals whether wild or domestically trained or untrained (including emotional support animals, therapy animals and other pets) are not service animals and are therefore prohibited.
Security procedures vary by event and may include a bag check or search. Event policies are subject to change and attendees should consult the event website for details.
For your safety and the safety of others, please report unusual or suspicious behavior including abandoned vehicles, unauthorized individuals, strange packages or unusual odors. Call 954-765-5931 to report security concerns or emergencies.
