The newly-updated convention center with its expanded 350,000 sq. ft of contiguous exhibit space is now complete, and work continues through 2025 on the remainder of the $1.2 billion expansion project. When the expansion project is completed, the Convention Center will boast more than 1.2 million square feet of event space including the new 65,000 sq. ft waterfront ballroom, an expansive 6-acre outdoor plaza with restaurants, and landscaping to create a parklike atmosphere. The expansion also include the addition of an interconnected 801-room, 29-story Omni headquarter hotel.
